My parents hometown is located south of Mexico, in a village called Santiago Tangamandapio, Michoacan. I also lived there from the ages of 9-13 learning to add and read in my parents first language. Annual visits to Mexico have become a necessity in my life to recall the simplicity and peace into my modern American world.
